On myspace this guy was flirting with me.. so without thinking I flirted back... he was like " if I lived closer i'd totally date you " and I said " I'd date you too. :] " I know it would never happend so I was not being serious. My boyfriend does not understand that and was crying hysterically. :/ Also I was scared and told him I never said that.. but of course he found out. How can I make it up to him? I really do love him more then anything. I lied, and made a huge mistake. What can I say to make him forgive me?

Wow, this exact thing happend to me. Trust me just tell him the truth. He obviosly must really liked you if he cried. Whatever you do just forget about that other guy if you really like your boyfriend, dont flirt with some guy your never going to meet because all that'll do is ruin your relationship and take away any trust between you and your boy friend.

I'm sure itll be forgiven after karma finds its way back. To be frank, if its me, we're done! Just dont play with fire and do stupid things like these next time, explain to him that u dont mean it and ure just acting immature. Assure him of your love and DONT make the same mistake. Thats pretty much the only thing u can do. You do need to stay loyal to him and stop playing around or flirting with other guys, take initiative to do things for him etc. Good luck!

You can explain what happened to him, and then *let him be mad* I'm sure you would too. But him being mad at you, believe it or not would be an improvement over him being in hysterical tears. Tell him the truth and let him decide what to do. He feels like you betrayed his trust, you need to find out from HIM what to do to earn it back, because he's the only one who can. But telling the truth and asking to be forgiven would be a start.
