Is it really dangerous or is it nothing. They teach us in classrooms that is the most dangerous place for online predators, but my friends say I should set up an account.I don't feel comfortable doing something that's not safe, even with parental permission.Please tell me your views!!!,

Its the internet , of course there are certain risks, you never know whos really on the other side, you know? In my personal opinion , I dont even like myspace, but if you feel you need to create one , make your profile private. That way you have control of who see's your profile. Hope that helps!!

it's dangerous for young kids because they post personal info without thinking weirdos will find you. fortunately now you can set your profile to private so only your friends can see it. but i really don't see why it's any different from chatting online. i mean if you watch dateline, you know there are still a lot of creepy old men who hunt for 13-14 year olds. gross!

If you get one and make your profile private don't give out personal info and only accept people you know as your friends you'll be fine

Myspace can be fun and safe if you do it the right way. If you really want an account, leave out all personal information like where you live, your last name or your phone number. I know people that say they are from another country or state just so people don't really know where they are. You could also have your account set to private so that only people who know your last name or email address can look at your profile. This is probably the best option for ya!

of course its risky but if you make a PRIVATE page(only your friends can see it) and if you only add friends..and dont tell like where your from and stuff like that you can have one...the reason things happen to those kind of kids are because they talk to strangers and add personal info about themselves..i suggest you give your mom your password and stay safe..
